Indonesian Stainless Steel Development Association (INASSDA) is non-profit organization, was established in 2021, committed to the growth and development of stainless steel industry in Indonesia.

Our Mission

To strengthen the role of stainless steel usage in the National economy
To optimize networks and partnerships with fellow business actors and stakeholders (government, BUMN, academics, and other private sectors).
To escalate the competence, skills, and productivity of human resources in the stainless steel field
To provide business education, protection and advocacy in order to implement a better working relationship for all parties

Metal industry sector has the potential to make a major contribution to national economic development

As the main component, the metal industry sector has the potential to make a major contribution to national economic development by increasing added value so that there will be a multiplier effect with the growth of other industries and the occurrence of socio-economic activities. In the end, this will be a push factor for increasing the nation’s economic competitiveness.

The metal industry sector has a major role in the development and development of the national industry. Metal industry products are the main raw material for other industrial sector activities, such as machinery and factory equipment, automotive, maritime and electronics.

For this reason, additional information and adequate knowledge for business actors, especially the small and medium class, are needed regarding nickel and its derivatives. The presence of PPSSI is expected to be able to provide this added value.

Our Perspective and Objective

Indonesian Stainless Steel Development Association (INASSDA) was founded because of seeing the potential of the stainless steel industry which is growing rapidly in Indonesia in recent years.

Not only related to large-scale industries, but also medium and small-scale industries, as well as other business actors related to stainless steel.

The export potential of the nickel-based metal industry, which reached US$ 7.08 billion in 2019, has encouraged the government to strengthen the performance of this industry

Downstream policy is believed to be able to make a significant contribution to the economy. Data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) shows that the export value of nickel-based metal industrial products in 2019 increased 47.5% compared to 2018.

The metal industry sector has a major role in the development and development of the national industry

This is because the products of the metal industry are the main raw materials for other industrial sector activities, such as machinery and factory equipment, automotive, maritime and electronics. In addition, metal products are needed by many sectors, including the construction sector which includes buildings and property, roads and bridges, electricity, and others.
