Mill finish refers to the surface texture of stainless steel after it has passed through rolling mills and drawing processes. This finish appears rough and lacks in shine. Most mill finish surfaces are going to be further processed through machining, polishing, industrial etching, or other finishing techniques to achieve the desired appearance. The most prevalent mill finishes include No. 1, No. 2B, No. 2BA, and No. 2D.
